CHILING WATERFALLS

 

The Chilling waterfall is an impressive cascade that flows through a narrow chasm between rocky outcrops. The pool in the middle can comfortably accommodate several bathers at once, but if the area gets too crowded, you can always head towards the upper tiers.

 

Sungai Chilling is a popular waterfall spot at the base of Fraser's Hill, located after the dam from Kuala Kubu Bharu. On weekends, Sungai Chilling attracts many visitors from urban centers and cities such as Kuala Lumpur, along with the occasional international tourist. Besides being a recreational park, the river has also been gazetted as a fish sanctuary, for one of the local species of mahseer called 'Tengas'. Access is by a small entrance with an arch along the trunk road to Fraser's Hill, immediately after the first narrow steel bridge. There is a small clearing for you to park your car, but do not display any items of value on the seat or dashboard.
